Cedar helped build basketball courts for mountainous area

On the afternoon of 10 August 2019, Cedar International Trust Jeremy Lin All-Star Game plays out in Guangzhou. This sports event is sponsored by and named after Cedar International Trust, a subsidiary of Cedar Holdings. The team of Jeremy Lin, Jay Chou, Allen Deng, Vanness Wu, Kenji Wu and Joe Tsai played against another team of Li Qun, Li Yifeng, Jam Hsiao, MC Jin, Alex Fong, and Joseph Lin at exact 16:00 on that day, presenting a star-studded game for 10, 000 audiences or so in the stadium.



The charity game pulls in people from all walks of life, especially entertainment and sports community, including actors, fans, and kind-hearted people to garner attention on charity. This is a sports-back charity event that donates RMB 100 for each ticket sold, helping the vulnerable in poor areas. As the sponsor that gives the game its name, Cedar International Trust made a donation to Jeremy & Li Qun Sports Foundation, supporting their “Basketball Court Construction and Renovation Programme” in a number of schools in Guangdong's mountainous areas.


A total of 11 basketball courts have been built in 5 schools in mountainous areas of Qinyuan and Shaoguan in Guangzhou so far, covering 6586 m2. All of them are FIBA regulation size basketball court with foundation made of high-quality concrete and acrylic surface, used to create an environmentally friendly, safe and comfortable sports space for children.



April 27 is the date when ninth graders and twelfth graders in Guangdong province offcially went back to school. For students of the below mentioned schools, they will be welcomed by the campus separated from them for more than three months as well as a huge surprise - the brand-new basketball courts.

Through this project, Cedar International Trust aims to help more sports-lovers and basketball fans from mountainous areas to turn their basketball dream into reality. What's more, Jeremy Lin will share his professional experience as a basketball star player in this project as another contribution to the basketball training for Chinese youth.
